Weekly Themes During Lent
Each week during Lent, our parish will celebrate a different theme designed to help your journey through the 40 days of Lent with intention, reflection, and spiritual renewal. The theme of the fourth week is Gratitude and Contentment. We should thank God for both big and small gifts in our lives. It is suggested that we keep a daily gratitude journal. And the scripture suggestion is 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances.”
OCIA - Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
When a non-baptized adult desires to become a Catholic or a baptized Christian from a different denomination desires to become a Catholic, they are required to go through what is called OCIA or Order of Christian Initiation for Adults. This program is in part an educational program to help learn about the Catholic faith before they are baptized and confirmed. This year, we have three young men who have taken part in OCIA: Dalton Wicks and Caleb Posey both will be baptized at the Easter Vigil and Teo Rojas-Bragg will be confirmed. I invite you to pray for these men, and for all the men, women and children throughout the world who will be baptized at the Easter Vigil.

Six-Week Lenten Drive to Help the Less Fortunate
Parishioners are asked to support our school chapter of the National Junior Honor Society by donating various items during Lent.
Only NEW products can be accepted, and they are collecting for both children and adults. You may bring your donations to the Church and leave them in the marked boxes in the Narthex or bring them to the parish office during the work week. The products collected will change each week. Please see the flyer below.
Thank you for your generosity. Items will be given to Robyn’s Nest, Kathy’s House, and the Milwaukee Diaper Mission.
Volunteers are needed for the Friday Rosary service (2:30 to 4:30 p.m.) at the Village of Manor Park (84th and Oklahoma Avenue), a healthcare facility. Leaders follow a scripted prayer sheet consisting of the Rosary, Cenacle prayers, and Divine Mercy. Service is also televised throughout the facility via closed-circuit TV for residents who cannot leave their rooms to attend the Chapel. Transport volunteers are needed to transport residents from their rooms to the Chapel for service. No lifting involved, if needed, would use a wheelchair to transport but volunteers must be able and comfortable walking a distance.

Once a year, a very special tradition takes place at our school—Run the Halls! For a short time on March 9, the rule about “no running in the halls” was officially lifted, and students got the chance to race through the hallways with smiles, laughter, and plenty of energy. Run the Halls is a fun way to celebrate community, stay active, and let students enjoy a little friendly competition. The excitement was contagious as classmates and teachers cheered one another on. After the run, a healthy snack was provided. Events like Run the Halls remind us that our parish school is not only a place for learning, but also for building joyful memories together!
A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Pitcher and our Wellness Warrior group for planning and organizing this exciting event. Their efforts helped create a day full of movement, laughter, and great school spirit for everyone involved!

We are organizing a parish group to attend the Marian Conference at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in Champion, Wisconsin, on May 22 & 23! This annual event draws pilgrims from around the country for prayer, spiritual formation, Mass, Confessions, rosary processions, and inspiring talks by Catholic speakers on the theme “Mary, Refuge of Sinners.” Speakers include Bishop David L. Ricken, Immaculée Ilibagiza, Fr. Timothy Shillcox, O. Praem., Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and Fr. Anthony Stephens, CPM, who will offer reflections on Mary’s role in the Church, Marian spirituality, Divine Mercy, and living a life of faith and discipleship.
Whether you’ve never been on a pilgrimage before or want to deepen your faith with others from our parish, this is a beautiful opportunity to encounter Our Lady and Jesus in a sacred setting. Highlights include Daily Mass, Confessions, a rosary procession, inspiring talks, and time for personal prayer and reflection. All ages are welcome! Sunday, March 15, 2026 | Fourth Sunday of Lent| John 9:1–41 (or 9:1, 6–9, 13–17, 34–38)
Friends, today in the strange and strikingly beautiful account of the healing of the man born blind in John’s Gospel, we find an iconic representation of Christianity as a way of seeing. Jesus spits on the ground and makes a mud paste, which he then rubs onto the man’s eyes. When the man washes his eyes in the pool of Siloam as Jesus had instructed him, his sight is restored.
The crowds are amazed, but the Pharisees—consternated and skeptical—accuse him of being naïve and the one who healed him of being a sinner. With disarming simplicity, the visionary responds: “If he is a sinner, I do not know. One thing I do know is that I was blind and now I see.”
This is precisely what all Christians say when they have encountered the light of Christ. It was St. Augustine who saw in the making of the mud paste a metaphor for the Incarnation: the divine power mixing with the earth, resulting in a healing balm. When this salve of God made flesh is rubbed onto our eyes, blinded by sin, we come again to see.
