Parish Elections
Thank you to those candidates who recently ran for the Parish Council: Joel Diges, Judith Phillips, Bennett Rausch, and Christine Smith. We congratulate the winners, Bennett Rausch and Christine Smith. We also thank all those who took the time to vote in this competitive race.
Congratulations to Gregory Hart and Diane Grabner, who were united in the Sacrament of Marriage this weekend.
This past Saturday morning, three men were ordained to the priesthood. One of those ordained was Fr. Timothy Sanchez. Fr. Timothy spent three years at St. John’s parish during his seminary formation. Next Sunday, Fr. Timothy will be the main celebrant at the 10:30 a.m. Mass in Thanksgiving for all the graces that have led him to the priesthood. Please join us in supporting him with prayers and congratulations.
Eagle Scout Project
Back in 2015, the Parish grade school received a grant to build a “School Teaching Garden.” The garden, under the direction of one of our teachers, Jane Ehrmann, was assembled by Johnny Smith as his Eagle Scout Project. Over the past 10 years, the garden has taken a beating with use and the extreme weather conditions we face in Wisconsin, especially during the cold months with freezes and thaws. This past weekend, Tyler Jambor, along with his scout troop and lots of “dad” power, gave the school garden a much-needed facelift. The improvements are just in time for the school’s annual planting day on May 23. Over the past 10 years, I have heard many positive comments about the landscaping and planting on our parish grounds, and parishioners and visitors are inquisitive and very complimentary about the school garden. St. Isidore the farmer, we ask for your intercession for another great year of abundant produce.
